Young Women’s player Sharni “T-Rex” Collins has the support of Peninsula Quality Meats this season!

Sharni was welcomed to the team in the pre-season of 2015 by a fellow innaugural player and this girl hasn’t looked back since! Sharni soon picked up the nickname of T-Rex with her unique hand ball and catching style and it has just stuck so well. She was awarded a Rising Star nomination for a game early on in the season and went on to improve with each training session and game and by the end of the year was lucky enough to win a Premiership in her very first season ever of AFL.

Sharni is considered one of the senior players of the team now, racking up a lot of experience and development in her first year. She is a pleasure to have around the group, always providing laughs and support to everyone. Keep an eye out on the field for number 22 putting a great tackle, bump or sheppard on the opposition and clearing the congestion with those almighty T-Rex hand balls!
